Alameda Island Theme Poems
2004, 2005 & 2006
This first anthology ever to publish poems on the theme of the island city of Alameda contains
poems by over 70 individual poets from 2004-2006. These poets, now a part of Alameda's literary history,
follow a time line of other writers who wrote poetry and whose lives in some way touched Alameda: Robert Louis Stevenson,
Jack London, William Saroyan, Don Blanding, Frank Bette, and more.
The poems in this collection are a Welcome to Alameda, its waterways, wandering-through ways, Alameda
Island people, natural wonders, neighborhoods, a sense of place, and the feelings, experiences, and visions of individual
poets.
